Core Concept

  • carboxylic acid 又叫 alkanoic acid

  • carboxylic acid 可以變 ester 或者 amide, 所以 3個 families 要留意佢地相似和唔相似地方

​

我建議你們用顏色筆、螢光筆塗抹 functional group 嘅 atoms，你們會了解更深入, 記憶得更好.

(i) Carboxylic acid

–  reacts with K/Na/Ca/Mg/Al/Zn/Fe/Pb 產生 hydrogen gas & salt

–  reacts with alkali (neutralization) 產生 water & salt

–  reacts with carbonate / hydrogencarbonate 產生 salt & carbon dioxide & water

歸納 episode 5 和今集 episode 6, alcohol 可變成 aldehyde, 再變成 alkanoic acid /carboxylic acid; carboxylic acid 又可以變成 ester, acid chloride 或者 amide; ester 又容易變返 carboxylic acid, 或變成 sodium 嘅 acid salt (容易溶落水)
